Dear Global Routes friends and family,
At last, Friday, June 13 has arrived and we have kicked off 2014 leader orientation! Our training is hosted on the campus of Windsor Mountain International summer camp, our sister organization in Windsor, New Hampshire.
On Friday, we introduced ourselves to the camp grounds and staff, played games and ice-breakers to get to know one another, and developed a Full Value Contract – an agreement of standards of behavior for the duration of our orientation. Our weekend is filled with activities, reflection, co-leadership exercises, program briefings, and workshops of budget and documentation.
Isaac, Della, Max, Chelsea, Kim, Kelsey, Brooke, Dan, Liz, and David are starting to get even more excited for their programs as they piece together the nitty-gritties of their programs. Here in the office Dianna and Alison are dazzled as programs and co-leader teams begin to take a shape of their own. Summer 2014 is officially underway, and we suspect it’s going to be the best summer yet!
Belize leaders Isaac and Della spend a night out bowling and bonding.
Arts & crafts time! Designing the Full Value Contract in the GR conference room.
Liz, Tanzania leader, helps hang our group contract so we can view it and revisit it later.
Drawing from the wealth of their experiences, leaders take turns facilitating workshops.
Liz and David tap into their co-leader chemistry with a mirrored movement exercise.
Happy summer! We are so excited to be well on our way to a successful, safe, and engaging season. We will be in touch soon with more updates.
Dianna, Alison and the Global Routes crew
