SPANISH IMMERSION, CULTURE, AND SERVICE IN ECUADOR & GALAPAGOS
FROM THE ANDES TO THE ISLANDS
Contained within the borders of one small country are the headwaters of the Amazon, the snow-capped volcanoes of the Andes and Darwin’s Galapagos Islands. Ecuador is one of the most biodiverse countries in the world! It has a remarkable variety of habitats, and is as rich culturally as it is geographically. Discover Ecuador firsthand as you meet the indigenous peoples of the High Sierra, trek through clouds in the high Andes, and celebrate the vibrancy of rural family life.
“To say that I had an absolutely fantastic four weeks in Ecuador this summer would be a huge understatement…Going to Ecuador was the best decision I ever made and the best investment my parents could have ever made. In just the course of four weeks, I came back with lifelong friends, more photos than I’ve ever taken and enough memories to share until I die. I learned deeper respect for those around me, true appreciation for everything I have back at home and to pause and take in all the small moments….If you’re thinking about going on a Global Routes trip, trust me, you’re truly making the best decision yet!” -Emma Johnson
“I really wanted to leave all of ‘home’ behind and gain perspective on my future and what kind of person I want to be. My leaders’ love and support made this goal easier than I ever expected.” -Liza Sherretta
“I loved and enjoyed every part of the homestay. I loved my family, the children that showed us undying love, the work that made me feel accomplished, the very different culture that I have an overwhelming respect for, the fantastic food, and everything else.” -Zoe Mungai-Barris
